Learn to Skate and Play Ice Hockey!

At Wolves Hockey, we’re not just teaching the game, but shaping resilient individuals. We prioritize character, hard work, and a resilient attitude - values that extend beyond the game, fostering lifelong skills for success both on and off the court.

  • This program is intended for youth born from 2011 to 2015 with beginner to intermediate hockey skills looking to continue developing their skills on the ice.

Players must have a full set of hockey gear to participate, however, Free Play is able to assist in obtaining gear for your youth if needed through our Sport Central referral program.

This weekly ice session is intended for players looking to learn to play hockey this Spring in a safe, inclusive, and positive environment.

Sessions run once a week on Mondays at the Clareview Recreation Center Arenas from 4:00-5:00 PM. At each session, players will learn the fundamentals of skating and ice hockey. This session will not interfere with the U13 Ball Hockey practice schedule in order to allow athletes to do both! U11 may have some overlap in the practice days.

Start date: Monday, April 7 2025.

    Schedule: Mondays, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM. From April 7, 2025 until August 25, 2025,

contribute what you can

The Wolves Athletic Club operates on a “Contribute What You Can” model because we believe that every young athlete deserves access to positive and supportive coaching, regardless of financial circumstances. Our program thrives when people from all backgrounds come together to support one another, both on and off the court/field/ice.

To ensure we can continue offering this opportunity to as many athletes as possible, we kindly ask that all participants take responsibility in covering the "Registration Fee" portion of the team costs which is $248.75 for this team as outlined above.
This cost can be covered by:

A) Allowing the Wolves Athletic Club to submit a Kid Sport application on your behalf or B) Paying the amount in full at once or in monthly installments.

For the remaining portion of the team cost, which is $590.94, we ask that you contribute in some other way — whether through a financial contribution, completing surveys, agreeing to be interviewed and sharing your story, or engaging in volunteer opportunities.

If contributing in any of these ways presents a challenge, please email wolves@freeplayforkids.com. We are here to help find a solution that ensures your child can still be part of the Wolves Athletic Club.
